Gie discovered Lindy Hop at 19, and started taking classes in the bar of his small hometown. He eventually followed his teachers to the city, and in October 2022 discovered Balboa, quickly falling in love with its close embrace, pure Bal, and cosy connection. Since then, he’s been traveling regularly for festivals, workshops, and competitions, placing at Roma Balboa Weekend, Come Around Balboa Weekend and Fast Feet competitions. He loves exploring musicality and creativity while constantly challenging himself. As a teacher, he focuses on clear, technical communication through the body and giving dancers practical building blocks they can turn into their own ideas. For him, dance is a universal language and a way to express yourself, connect with your partner, and create something unique together.
